A special note from a very proud Gramma:
As a lot of you know my granddaughters are very active in sports and I spend a lot of my time at the ball fields. My twin granddaughter's softball team which happens to be coached by their Daddy (my oldest son Brian) played a very important game last night. Their team has been in first place the whole season. Last week we lost our first game which changed the standings all of a sudden. There was a threat of us not taking first place unless we won last night. How sad to be in first place the entire season and if we lost it would put us in fourth! Yikes! Well, you know none of us wanted that to happen! We started the game off with a very bad inning! My granddaughter Maddie was pitching and my other granddaughter Lily was catching! They are known as the dynamic duo. Maddie struggled in the first inning and walked in two runs. :( The game was 2-0 which seemed like forever! The pitcher on the other team was having a great night. Maddie got warmed up after that bad first inning and kept them to the 2 runs. But still this game was looking quite grim until Maddie got up with 2 outs with no one on base...she hit a home run! Wow! With two outs the girls all started hitting and my son was sending them running around the bases which totally rattled the other team and we won 3-2! It brought everyone to their feet! Like my son told them after the game...NEVER give up! Brittany the pitcher from the other team sent a text to my son last night congratulating the girls on their victory. She is 10 yrs. old! If only adults behaved that way!
Congratulations Roseville Giants you made us proud!
