I am so tired of winter!
I know I won't get any sympathy from those of you who have been shoveling tons of snow this winter. Most of the day lately has been foggy! It doesn't burn off until very late in the day and by then who cares! My cement in my yard is greener than my grass! My roses are in the process of getting pruned so there is stuff all over. It's a MESS! The only thing that cheers me up is looking back at my pictures from summer. I can't believe that I am sharing these dreadful pictures of my yard with you but oh well! :)
Winter!
Summer!
Winter!
Summer!
Winter!
Summer!
Wish I had some pretty roses to pick!
Sophie doesn't seem to mind the cold foggy days! As you can see by her bows she is ready for Valentine's Day.
Oops! I woke up the sleeping princess!
Happy Pink Saturday everyone! Please visit Beverly at How Sweet The Sound to see all the pink pretties this week.
Oh Denise how I would love to have those beautiful roses right now. They and your yard are lovely. Happy Pink Saturday, Char

Denise, Your winter is so much better then mine. Everything is covered in white, green would be wonderful. Love the bouquet of pink roses. Take care and have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHi, how pretty your outdoors look. That's a lovely living room too and your little fuzzy face is adorable.
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie and thanks for popping in to see me,
Shelia ;)
Happy Pink Saturday Denise Sweetie...
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous share today. I love your photos, they are exquisite. Your gardens are so beautiful, of course ours always look better in the summer than winter, but they are still elegant.
I have some flowers blooming here in Phoenix. At least my pansies and petunias and a few snapdragons too are blooming happily. Stop by and scroll 2 posts back and you will be happy to see the flowers. They will make you smile and give you hope that Spring is closely around the corner.
I love your big concrete planter by the pools edge. I need a couple of those for our pool area. Gorgeous sanctuary.
Have a glorious weekend sweetie. Many hugs and much love, Sherry
Sissy, you are hysterical, your patio is greener than your grass.. LOL It's greener than my grass too. Another no sun day ahead!!!!!!! Sophie's bows are adorable.
ReplyDeleteHi Denise :) Happy Pink Saturday to you! Yes, here in Michigan we have been doing our fair share of snow shoveling :( I've been done with winter for over a month now, lol ~ time for Spring to make it's presence :) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteWarmest hugs, Brenda
Beautiful post thank you for sharing,HPS.
ReplyDeleteYou know, when you said you were tired of winter, I was expecting snow. Your place looks like early spring to me. However, as pretty as the summer pictures are, I can see why you feel down about it. Just remember how HOT it gets in the summer and how you don't like to sweat. Maybe that will take your mind off prettier days. However, I'll warn you that hasn't worked for me either!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday!
Your winter looks pretty good to me. And your little Sophie, so cute! My shih tuz's are soon to be 15 years old and are not as cute as they once were, but neither am I and they love me anyway...
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel. We spent 4 years in the snow 8 months in Vermont and when we moved to the CA bay area, I was not prepared for the cold and rain. Still, let me tell you first hand, that snow shoveling and driving in, is a hard hard life.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have mold here in Fremont, but I would love to be basking in the sunshine all days. (Last week had 5 days that were glorious!)
I'm still visiting around Pink Saturday posts. Have a wonderful week.
awe sophie is cute! Your summer photos are gorgeous, I can see why you miss your garden. Ah, not long now! at least, that is what I keep telling myself!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Pink Saturday!
Hi,
ReplyDeleteWhere do you live that you don't have snow? I am in Southern Calif & have weeds due to lots of early rains. Grrr. Your yard is heavenly in comparison.
monah
Found you on Pink Saturday. Please visit me too.
Your yard and pool area is beautiful!! Sophie is so cute with her little red bows!! We had some snow this year here in Myrtle Beach, but not compared to the NorthEast folks!
ReplyDeleteDenise you have such a lovely home! Your roses in summer are gorgeous --I can see why you miss them!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed seeing your tribute to you father in the prior post. Those were wonderful photographs. I also used to let my parakeet sit on my head when i was a child! :)
Hi Denise,
ReplyDeleteI hear ya. Winter here in MA is getting on my nerves. It's 1 degree here this morning. I just love your photos of summer. I'm dreaming of my garden in full bloom again and full of roses.
Come by and visit me this week on Pink Saturday.
xo Cathy
Awwww, I used to live where fog was the worst part of winter and we could still find roses here and there even in February sometimes. Nowadays, all the boomer and senior gardening in February is done by reading fun gardening and vegetable magazines and catalogs. :) I miss it, but I enjoy the snow as well - most of the time. :) And what sweet family memories and photos including your cutie pie grandchildren. Thanks for a delightful Pink Saturday.
