Just in case you can't play the video I added the mosaic for you to view.
We were married at the First Presbyterian Church in Burlingame, California on September 11, 1971. It was a small wedding with a reception following at my parents home. Unfortunately we don't have any professional photos of our special day. We hired a photographer who was a friend of ours and he forgot all about it. He was relaxing on a boat on the San Francisco Bay! The only photos I have are the ones I used to make this video. My parents neighbor was so kind to take these with his camera but he didn't have a flash so there are no photos inside the church. I had a lot of fun making this video for you today. I hope you enjoyed it.
Oh, I wish I could see your video. But, we have so many things blocked on our computer, and most videos are among them.
ReplyDeleteHow sad that the person you hired to do the photos forgot about it. That must have been so disappointing at the time.
Blessings,
Patti
PS Your kids' wedding photos are beautiful. At least their photographers weren't out on the bay in a boat, right?
Denise, this video is just fantastic! Love how you did it ~ did you know the pic of you and hubby comes up right as the song says "when two lovers kissed"?!? Great timing!
ReplyDeleteOur photographer forgot, too, and he was a semi-professional ~ luckily he was at home and Mother's call gently reminded him to move it!
I really like how you added the wedding invitation and the page from your guest book and your getaway car to the video! Great job, sweetie!

Sigh... totally lovely. We had a reception at church and another at my husband's home... guess which one I remember the most? The one with my MIL as the hostess!
ReplyDeleteHi Denise, I love the video you created. Just lovely and so well done. You are a beautiful bride. Such wonderful memories. The music is perfect and the kiss timed right at the verse in the song. Wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your lovely wedding.

Hi Denise!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed my visited down memory lane. What a beautiful bride and sweet memories you have!
Hugs..Lorena
Your photographer must have felt horrible! At least I hope he did, having photographed plenty of weddings myself - it's quite a responsibility. It didn't tarnish your lovely memories, though! Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteIt was nice to meet you here at the party!
Sorry to hear about the photographer. At least you did get some photos. My son was suppose to take photos at my 2nd wedding. But he didn't take as many as I would have liked & he didn't take photos of stuff I wish he had. That's the problems with weddings. There is no do over. Oh well, I guess we should be grateful for the photos that we do have. Thanks for sharing your story & your video.
ReplyDeleteYou were married just a 2 weeks when we got married!!! Isn't love beautiful. Love what you have shared and I really want to know how you make the mosaics.Hope you can get the time to drop by and visit. Debbie
ReplyDeleteTruly a beautiful video. Thanks for sharing such a beautiful day. Pat
ReplyDeleteThis is really fantastic!
ReplyDeleteOh my sweetness your video is darling. I love all of your pretty flowers and you were a beautful bride. It is so funny how at every wedding something a bit wacky seems to happen, like your photographer forgetting. Anyway, the prettiest part is the true love you share with your husband.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing,
HUgs,
Olivia

ReplyDeleteLovely memories! Glad to come here via a button on a friends blog.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful video and such wonderful song you picked for it. I love it!
ReplyDeleteHello my beautiful friend Denise!
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame about your friend the photographer! I know it wasn't at the moment but I hope time gone by has made it one of those "funny stories" to tell?? Maybe???
The pictures you do have are so lovely and certainly capture the love of the moment!!
I love the video too - its SOooo enchanting!!
My hubby is one of those that are always "the life of the party" so even though we have lots of photos there are very few with both of us together because he was so busy being THE LIFE OF THE PARTY . . . fortunately there were no lampshades at the reception ;-)
Thanks for the glimpse into your special day!!
Hugs and Smiles,
Lynn
